🙋 Common questions
How much does the Gulf of Gökova bike and boat tour cost?
Prices for the 2027 season start at €1,899 per person for a twin cabin below deck, rising to €2,349 for the peak departures in May and September. Three people sharing a cabin receive €200 off each, and travellers under 16 also receive €200 off in double occupancy. Discounts are not combinable.
When is the best season to cycle around the Gulf of Gökova?
The 2027 season runs from early April to late October, with nine guaranteed Friday departures from Bodrum. April, May and October bring mild riding temperatures and quiet roads, which suits the hillier stages best. High summer is hot inland but rewards you with the warmest water for the daily swim stops in the bays.
How difficult is the cycling between Bodrum, Akyaka and Datça?
Boat Bike Tours rates this tour level 4 of 5: hilly to mountainous terrain with climbs of up to roughly 400 metres, winding descents, uneven asphalt and occasional gravel. Daily stages run 20 to 44 km with 200 to 700 metres of ascent. It suits experienced cyclists who are confident in traffic.
How many kilometres will I cycle between Bodrum and Knidos?
The full programme totals 206 km spread over six riding days, from a short 20 km stage out of Çamlı to the longest day, 42 km across the Datça Peninsula. Embarkation and disembarkation days involve no cycling. You are free to skip any stage and stay on board to swim or relax instead.
Which ships sail the Gökova route and what are the cabins like?
Two deluxe gulets serve this route: the Boreas, with 15 cabins for a maximum of 32 guests, and the three-masted Admiral, also 15 cabins, for a maximum of 30. Both have climate-controlled cabins with shower and toilet, wooden interiors, shaded and sunny deck areas and a swimming ladder. All 2027 departures are currently on the Boreas.
Is a bike included, or do I rent one in Bodrum?
Rental bikes are not part of the tour price. An e-bike with an Ortlieb pannier costs €273 per week and a gravel bike €240 per week, available from a rider height of 165 cm. Helmets are compulsory on every ride; a limited number can be reserved on board, so bringing your own is advised.
What is included in the price of the Gökova gulet cruise?
You get seven nights in a twin cabin below deck with shower and toilet, half board with breakfast and one hot meal daily, drinking water, bed linen and towels, daily cabin cleaning, English-speaking guides, the guided rides and sightseeing described, and entrance fees to museums and archaeological sites on group visits.
Is there a minimum age for this Turkish Aegean tour?
The stated minimum age is 10, and Boat Bike Tours asks that children be in good physical condition with previous cycle-touring experience, since they ride the stages under their own steam. Rental bikes require a minimum height of 1.50 m. Groups run from 14 to 30 participants across both bike groups.
