🙋 Common questions
How difficult is this Évora cycling tour?
Most routes are rated medium and range from 30 to 59 km on rolling roads, eco-trails and some dirt tracks; the Évora day is easy. Because you stay at the same farm every night, the distances can easily be adapted to your level, and an e-bike can be rented.
How much does the 4-day Évora farmhouse cycling tour cost?
The price shown on this page is per person in a double room with breakfast, with a seasonal supplement per night in April, May, June, September and October. It includes the bike with helmet and rear rack, 2 transfers, 1 dinner (drinks not included), a welcome snack and pick-up at the Évora bus or train station. Your guide joins you on the routes, and wine tastings, a tasting at a local producer, water and fruit and the entrance fees to Évora's Bones Chapel and cathedral are included.
When can I cycle around Évora?
The tour can start on any day. It is not available in July and August for fewer than 7 nights, and the operator does not recommend cycling in that heat. Easter, Christmas and New Year are on request.
Does a guide ride with me?
Yes. On the guided version a guide accompanies you on the routes, provides water and fruit and first aid support, and includes the tastings and entrance fees listed in the price. Lunches are at local cafés and are not included.
Where do I stay on the Évora farmhouse tour?
You will stay every night at Monte do Serrado de Baixo, a farm guesthouse 8 km from Évora with four themed bedrooms, two cottages and swimming pools. An upgrade to the self-catering cottages is available, and the tour can also be based at a hotel in the centre of Évora.
Can I join this tour on my own?
Yes. Prices are based on a minimum of two participants, and the single supplement applies to a third person in a group of two. Solo travellers can book too, at a higher rate that is calculated automatically when you request a quote for one person.
Is there a cooking class?
Yes, the Alentejo cooking class at the farm, where you learn traditional recipes with simple ingredients, can be booked as an extra.
