Where does the tour start and end?
The tour starts in Zarnesti, reached on Day 1 by train from Bucharest via Brasov, and ends in Viscri on Day 8 with a private transfer to Brasov followed by a train to Bucharest. An extra night in Brasov is highly recommended.
What is the difficulty level?
The tour is rated medium, with 6 cycling days covering around 35 to 66 km per day (approximately 298 km total) and some climbs. Very fast riders can combine days 6 and 7 into a single day. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended.
When can the tour be operated?
Departures are available any day from April 22 to October 15. The tour runs self-guided, with bookings confirmed within 48 hours, Monday to Friday.
Which bike types are available?
You can rent a Trek hybrid bike or an e-bike with Bosch Active Line system. Bike rental includes repair kit, pump, lock, one-side rear pannier and map holder. Helmets are not provided for hygienic and safety reasons.
What is included in the package?
The package includes 7 nights in charming guesthouses and one 3-star hotel in Sighisoara, 7 breakfasts, 6 picnics, 6 dinners, all scheduled transfers (train Bucharest – Brasov – Zarnesti on Day 1, private transfer Viscri – Brasov on Day 8), daily luggage transfers, a detailed roadbook with map and contacts, and a 24-hour emergency phone number.
