Is this tour suitable for beginners?
The tour follows mostly flat to gently rolling terrain along the Loire and its tributaries, with moderate daily distances between 44 and 58 km. It suits cyclists with a reasonable level of fitness, though no technical skill is required. The stages can be shortened using the navigation app.
What bike options are available for rental?
You can rent a hybrid bike, trekking bike, or e-bike directly through the tour operator. Trailer, follow-me tandem, and baby seat options are also available for families.
How do I get to Saumur?
Saumur is easily reached by TGV high-speed train from Paris Montparnasse in approximately two and a half hours. The town also has good road connections via the A85 motorway. Parking is available locally if you choose to drive.
What is the visit package?
The optional visit package includes entry to Fontevraud Abbey, Villandry gardens and château, Château du Rivau, Château de Brézé, Château de l'Islette, and one wine tasting session along the route.
