Mamma Mia Islands Plus by Boat and E-Bike

Day 1: Skiathos (embarkation)
You will make your own way to Skiathos, where check-in opens at 4 p.m. in the island's main town. The afternoon is yours: wander the lively old town, take a cold drink out on the wooded Bourtzi peninsula, or slip into the sea for a first swim. Dinner is served on board and the night is spent in Skiathos harbour.

Day 2: Alonissos (8 km)
In the morning your boat sets out on the long crossing to Alonissos, pausing in a beautiful bay for a swim along the way. You will land at the port of Patitiri and take your first short ride, a gentle warm-up on quiet roads that gives you time to get to know your rental e-bike. The road climbs to Palaia Chora, the enchanting old island capital, which you will explore on foot: photographs wait around every corner of the winding alleyways, and the shaded main square is made for a slow coffee. Then it is back down to Patitiri, where dinner in a taverna right on the beach rounds off an eventful first day.

Day 3: Alonissos – Skopelos (34 km)
Today you will ride almost the whole of Alonissos, an island that has given itself over to ecotourism and rewards you with unspoilt nature, superb beaches and unusually warm-hearted islanders. From Patitiri the route runs to the beach of Chrysi Milia, whose colours belong somewhere in the Caribbean, then on through the fishing villages of Steni Vala and Kalamakia to the beach of Agios Dimitrios, with the small islands offshore in view for much of the way. A high plateau and a long descent bring you back into the bay of Patitiri, where the boat is waiting with lunch. In the afternoon you will cross to Skopelos through the protected marine park, home to a colony of the rare Mediterranean monk seal. The evening is free to walk Skopelos town and choose your own restaurant.

Day 4: Skopelos (40 km)
Skopelos has everything a perfect day on the bike could ask for: high peaks, wide panoramas, evergreen forest, a rugged coast and remarkable beaches. You will leave Skopelos Town on a panoramic road through dramatic mountain scenery and drop down to the harbour at Neo Klima, where a long, unhurried lunch waits on board. The afternoon takes you out to the lighthouse at Cape Gourouni, passing Perivoliou beach, whose wild beauty recalls the shores of Ireland. Stop here to plunge into clear water and find a coffee at a beach shack. From there you can ride straight back to Neo Klima or add the detour to the "Mamma Mia" cliff, where Sophie and Sky said "I do" in the film's little chapel. Overnight in Neo Klima.

Day 5: Euboea (34 km)
The morning crossing takes you to Euboea, the second largest island in Greece and far less known than its glamorous Aegean neighbours, though it yields nothing to them in landscape or cultural depth. Your ship follows the northern coastline, with a long swim stop on the way when the weather allows. Cycling begins in the afternoon in the small port town of Orei and leads through fertile coastal plains and traditional mountain villages, a glimpse of everyday rural Greece. Back in Orei the sandy beach nearby invites one more dip before dinner in a taverna by the harbour.

Day 6: Pelion Peninsula and Palaio Trikeri (28 km)
You will sail on to the Pelion peninsula, a region of extraordinary beauty that, alongside Skopelos and Skiathos, served as one of the main filming locations for Mamma Mia. The ride starts in the fishing port of Agia Kyriaki, climbs past the mountain village of Trikeri and reaches the bay of Alogoporos. Here you will leave the bike and take a water taxi to the car-free islet of Palaio Trikeri, four and a half square kilometres best explored on foot: visit the Greek Orthodox monastery of the Virgin Mary, or simply swim from one of its quiet beaches. The water taxi brings you back to Alogoporos and your e-bike for the final coastal stretch to Agia Kyriaki, where you spend the night.

Day 7: Pelion – Skiathos (40 km)
Your last day in the saddle keeps the panoramas coming. The route runs 25 km along the beautiful Pelion coast to the harbour town of Milina, good for a coffee, before the final climb of the week and a descent through forest to the port of Platania. Your boat is waiting there to carry you across to Skiathos. In the afternoon a transfer takes you from Skiathos town up to the monastery of Evangelistria and the picturesque Parissis winery, where the view over the island capital comes with some of the best wine in the Sporades. Over a last dinner on board you will look back on the week and say goodbye to your guides and crew.

Day 8: Skiathos (disembarkation)
After breakfast on board you will disembark and travel home, or stay on to extend your holiday in Greece.
