Short Description

Your two-wheeled adventure in Istria is based in Poreč, one of the most captivating towns on the western Istrian coast. Staying comfortably at the same 4-star hotel throughout, you will set out each day to explore the peninsula's interior: medieval hilltop villages like Grožnjan and Motovun, the dramatic Lim Fjord, olive groves, vineyards, and pristine coastline. A rest day by the sea lets you savour Poreč's beautiful beaches. The final stage takes you south to Rovinj and the Roman amphitheatre of Pula before an evening transfer back to base.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Poreč
Individual arrival in Poreč. The historic centre is a stage built more than 2,000 years ago: stroll along the ancient decumanus flanked by noble buildings and Gothic Venetian palaces. The Euphrasian Basilica, famous for its gold mosaics, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.

Day 2: Poreč and Surroundings (35 km)
Today you will explore the hinterland around Poreč. You will pedal to the small fishing cove of Santa Marina di Vabriga and on to Vabriga, then leave the coast again toward Višnjan before returning to Poreč.

Day 3: Poreč – Vrsar – Lim Fjord – Poreč (40 km)
You will ride to the famous Lim Fjord, a protected natural area flanked on both sides by steep hills. Its brackish waters nurture oyster and mussel farms along the shore. The return to Poreč winds through the Istrian interior.

Day 4: Grožnjan – Buje – Novigrad – Poreč (55 km)
Today you will reach the picturesque hilltop village of Grožnjan. From its medieval walls a breathtaking panorama unfolds over vineyards, olive groves, forests, and the distant sea. Known as the town of artists, in summer it becomes an open-air stage for concerts. You will continue to Buje and descend to Novigrad at the mouth of the River Mirna, then pass the Baredine Caves on the road back to Poreč.

Day 5: Motovun – Poreč (45 km)
After a short transfer inland, you will pedal to Motovun, an enchanting medieval hilltop village at 250 m commanding views over vineyards and oak forests. Signs of Venetian rule are still visible everywhere. You will ride along the Parenzana rail trail through Vizinada and back to Poreč.

Day 6: Rest Day by the Sea
Today you will enjoy a day of relaxation. Poreč's beaches range from dreamy pebble coves to fine white sand — something for every taste.

Day 7: Poreč – Kanfanar – Rovinj – Pula (60 km)
After a transfer to Kanfanar you will ride to Rovinj, one of Istria's most beautiful towns, perched on a hill crowned by the bell tower of St Euphemia's Church. The old town is enclosed by walls erected by Venice against pirates. From Fažana you may take a boat to the Brijuni Islands. Continuing by bike you will reach Pula, Istria's largest city with its majestic Roman amphitheatre. Evening transfer back to Poreč.

Day 8: Poreč, Departure
Individual departure or possibility to extend the stay.
