Short Description

Pedal along Spain's sun-drenched Costa Blanca, from the historic fortress town of Altea to the vibrant streets of Valencia. This 7-day linear route threads through orange groves, coastal wetlands and charming Mediterranean villages, with easy terrain perfect for a relaxed cycling holiday.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Altea
You will arrive in the charming coastal town of Altea, a whitewashed gem perched above the Mediterranean. After settling in, take an evening stroll through the old quarter, where narrow lanes open onto sweeping sea views.

Day 2: Altea – Dénia (approx. 55 km)
You will set off along the coast, riding through Calpe with its dramatic Peñón de Ifach rock and past quiet coves. The road hugs the shoreline before turning inland through citrus orchards toward Dénia, a lively port town crowned by a Moorish castle.

Day 3: Dénia – Gandia (approx. 55 km)
You will cycle south through the fertile Marjal de Pego-Oliva wetlands, a protected area teeming with birdlife. Orange and lemon groves line the route as you approach Gandia, the historic seat of the Borgia dynasty and home to a magnificent ducal palace.

Day 4: Gandia – Cullera (approx. 45 km)
You will ride through the coastal plains, passing through the town of Tavernes de la Valldigna at the foot of the Simat monastery valley. The landscape opens into rice paddies as you approach Cullera, a seaside town sheltered beneath its hilltop castle.

Day 5: Cullera – El Saler / Valencia (approx. 40 km)
You will enter the Albufera Natural Park, one of Spain's most precious wetlands. The route winds past shimmering lagoons and emerald-green rice fields, home to herons and flamingos. You will reach the coastal strip of El Saler, gateway to Valencia.

Day 6: Valencia city exploration
You will discover Valencia at your own pace — the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, the lively Mercado Central, the medieval Silk Exchange, and the sprawling Turia Gardens. A perfect day to soak up the city's blend of ancient and avant-garde.

Day 7: Departure from Valencia
Your tour ends after breakfast. Depending on your departure time, you may enjoy a final morning ride along the Turia riverbed park or a last visit to the old town.
