You will pedal through the lush bocage countryside, ride along fine sandy beaches, and end your journey in the elegant seaside resorts of Deauville and Trouville.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Bayeux
You will wander through the narrow streets of Bayeux, admiring its stately merchant houses and the cathedral of Notre Dame, a jewel of Romanesque architecture. The town is home to the famous Bayeux Tapestry, an extraordinary embroidered linen cloth stitched in the 11th century to recount the Norman conquest of England by William the Conqueror.

Day 2: Bayeux – Courseulles-sur-Mer (36 km; +220m)
You will head towards Longues-sur-Mer and its impressive German defensive battery, then continue to Gold Beach and Arromanches, where the remains of the enormous artificial harbour built on Churchill's orders still stand in the sea. After exploring the Arromanches 360° circular cinema, you will ride through the charming bocage lanes to reach Courseulles-sur-Mer and its picturesque fishing harbour.

Day 3: Courseulles-sur-Mer – Cabourg (41 km; +90m)
You will bike along Juno Beach and Sword Beach all the way to Ouistreham, passing through seaside villages and along fine sandy shores. A visit to the Pegasus Bridge awaits, where the British army achieved a key victory in 1944. Then you will follow the coast to Cabourg, a popular seaside resort since the early 20th century, with its graceful promenades and Belle Époque charm.

Day 4: Cabourg – Honfleur (51 km; +520m)
You will briefly venture into the Auge countryside to the village of Beaumont-en-Auge with its colourful timber-framed houses, before returning to the coast and heading for Deauville with its elegant half-timbered villas. The coastline dotted with apple trees will lead you to Honfleur, where the pretty marina, tall narrow-fronted houses, and timeless alleys have inspired Impressionist painters for generations.

Day 5: Honfleur – Trouville/Deauville (47 km; +480m)
You will leave Honfleur for a new route exploring the Pays d'Auge, a landscape synonymous with apples, cider, Calvados, and famous cheeses. Pont-l'Évêque is an unmissable stop to admire its brightly coloured half-timbered houses. You will then head back towards Deauville before reaching Trouville, where the fish market and Belle Époque ambiance will charm you.
