Short Description

An 8-day self-guided cycling tour from Trieste to Pula through Istria, covering 220–275 km across Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. Ride along the Adriatic coastline through hilltop villages, salt pans, and Istrian vineyards. From €889 per person.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Trieste
You will arrive individually and you will settle into your hotel. Free time to explore the city.

Day 2: Trieste – Piran/Portorož (35 km or 65 km)
You will cross the border into Slovenia and you will ride on cycle paths via Koper and Izola to Piran/Portorož. Optional: ferry Trieste–Muggia (ticket not included). Longer variant inland via the Val Rosandra; then you will continue along the coast.

Day 3: Piran/Portorož – Umag/Novigrad (35–60 km)
You will cycle through the Sečovlje salt pans, then you will enter Croatia and Istria. Gentle hills, orchards and vineyards will lead you toward Umag; evening stroll through medieval lanes.

Day 4: Umag – Novigrad – Poreč (20–40 km)
You will follow the coast to fortified Novigrad at the mouth of the Mirna (Quieto) River, then you will reach Poreč and you can visit the UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica.

Day 5: Poreč (35 km by bike or free day)
You will choose between an inland ride or relaxation by the sea. Optional boat trips to the Brijuni islands (National Park; Veli Brijun open to visitors) and the Limski Channel nature reserve.

Day 6: Poreč – Rovinj (55 km)
You will ride to Rovinj, with its old town on a promontory and the bell tower of St. Euphemia’s Cathedral above the rooftops.

Day 7: Rovinj – Pula (45–55 km)
You will reach Pula, the oldest Istrian city, known for its amphitheatre and Roman-era sites, with a lively cultural scene.

Day 8: Pula, departure
You will depart individually, with the option to extend your stay.
