What is the difficulty level of this tour?
This is an easy to moderate tour covering 30 to 65 km per day on mostly flat to gently hilly terrain. Two stages include train transfers that shorten the cycling distance. A reasonable level of fitness is sufficient, and e-bikes are available for additional comfort.
What type of bike is recommended?
A touring bike or trekking bike is ideal for this route. Rental touring and electric bikes bikes (21-speed) are available.
What type of accommodation is provided?
You will stay in 3 and 4-star hotels in double or single rooms. All nights include a rich breakfast buffet. Example hotels include Hotel Amedia Salzburg, Seehotel Post at Lake Attersee, and Hotel Roomz Vienna Prater.
Is luggage transferred between hotels?
Yes, luggage transfer from hotel to hotel is included in the package. One piece of luggage per person is transported, with a maximum weight of 23 kg.
When is the best time to travel?
The tour runs daily from 25 April to 10 October 2026. Late spring and early autumn offer the most pleasant cycling temperatures, while summer provides the longest daylight hours and warmest lake swimming conditions.
