How difficult is this tour?
This is a challenging tour covering 261 km over 6 cycling stages with a total elevation gain of 3,314 metres. The longest stage is 70 km from Porto to Barcelos. Some sections follow the original Camino path on unpaved trails where you may need to carry your bike briefly. It is recommended for experienced cyclists.
What type of bicycle is provided?
A standard touring bicycle is included in the price, equipped with a cargo rack, pannier bike bag, handlebar bag, and a spare inner tube. Each group also receives a toolkit with a first aid kit, puncture repair kit, pump, and lock (one per two bicycles). E-bikes are available as an optional supplement.
How does luggage transfer work?
Your luggage is transferred daily between hotels by the tour operator. Each person is allowed one piece of luggage weighing up to 23 kg. Suitcases must be properly identified; unidentified bags left behind may incur an extra charge for the luggage transfer service.
How do I navigate the route?
You'll receive access to a digital app with the full route, including an interactive map, points of interest, and detailed route information. The app works both online and offline on your own smartphone, so you can guide yourself throughout the journey without needing a paper map.
Are meals included?
Breakfast is included every morning (7 nights BB). Lunches and dinners are not included but can be added as optional packages: a Wine & Dine package with 2 dinners or a Picnic package with 6 light lunches on cycling days could be added as extras.
