From Linz to Vienna, you will follow the Danube on a smooth, riverside cycle path—five days of easy riding through storybook landscapes. You will pass the wild curves of the Strudengau, roll into baroque Grein, and drift through the vineyard-lined Wachau, where apricot trees and castles frame every bend. The journey ends in Vienna, where grand avenues, welcoming cafés, and the city’s lively culture crown your ride.

**Is this tour guided?** No. All bike tours are unescorted. **What is the tour level and terrain?** Level 1. The path is completely paved, flat, and almost always directly along the riverbank—suitable for beginners and children. **What accommodation is used?** 3–4* hotels and inns. **When can I start the tour?** Daily arrival. **What are the 2026 travel seasons?** Season 1: April 11–24 + October 03–10, 2026. Season 2: March 28–April 10 + September 19–October 02, 2026. Season 3: April 25–September 18, 2026. **What is included?** 4 nights with private facilities, breakfast, daily luggage transport (1 suitcase per person / max. 23 kg), 1 bottle of high-level wine in the Wachau Valley per room, 1 train ride Krems–Vienna incl. bike, train ride Vienna–Linz (excluding own bikes), service-hotline (also on weekends), handlebar bag, digital route book & information material per room (also as GPX file). **Bike rental and liability?** Rental bikes: € 23 touring bike; € 52 e-bike. Traveller is liable for damage/theft; liability can be optionally excluded by insurance. Exclusions: lost keys, e-bike batteries/chargers, and damage caused by intent or gross negligence. **Parking?** Parking garage near the train station for approx. € 11/day (public, guarded). Contact the garage directly in advance for reservation. **Reductions (additional bed with 2 full paying adults)?** 0–6.99 years -100%; 7–11.99 -50%; 12–14.99 -25%; 15–99 -10%. Helmet is mandatory in Austria for children up to 12 years. **Not included / notes?** Arrival to Linz is not included and must be arranged independently. **Day 1: Linz** Individual arrival. You will explore the city on your own (Linz City Express not included). You can visit beer gardens and/or wine taverns. Linz is described as a city of contrasting parallels with traditional Austrian heritage and vibrant Contemporary Arts and was the European Culture Capital of 2009. **Day 2: Linz – Strudengau (approx. 60 km)** You will cycle through the Mostviertel on your way to Grein. Shortly before Grein, the Danube valley narrows as you ride through the Strudengau. In Grein, you can visit the oldest city theatre in Austria and a Maritime Museum. **Day 3: Strudengau – Nibelungengau (approx. 40 km)** You will cycle through the landscapes of the Strudengau and the Nibelungengau, continuing on to the Wachau (UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Region). **Day 4: Nibelungengau – Vienna (approx. 48 km) + Train ride Krems – Vienna (incl. bike)** You will follow the Danube through the Wachau to Krems, described as a 1000-year-old winery city with exceptional gothic architecture. From Krems, you will take a comfortable train ride to Vienna. **Day 5: Vienna** Before leaving, you can visit the Naschmarkt (international foods/goods) and/or the imperial castle Schönbrunn. A train ride back to Linz is provided (own bikes excluded; personal bike with surcharge). You can also extend your stay in Vienna.
