Short Description

From your base in Bad Goisern, you will cycle into the heart of the Salzkammergut: lake shores and river paths framed by mountains. You will follow the Traun to Lake Hallstatt for ferry views of the iconic village, ride to the Wolfgangsee via imperial Bad Ischl, and discover the fjord-like Traunsee near Gmunden. A day around emerald Gosausee brings you close to the Dachstein glacier, with Salzburg as a culture-filled interlude before a final ride to Grundlsee.

Tour Program

Day 1: Individual arrival in Bad Goisern
Check-in in Bad Goisern.

Day 2: Round trip to Lake Hallstatt (approx. 30 km)
Ride along the River Traun to Lake Hallstatt and take a short ferry crossing with views of Hallstatt.

Day 3: Cycle tour to Strobl on the Wolfgangsee (approx. 60 km or shorter)
Cycle via Bad Ischl to Lake Wolfgang and Strobl. Optional shortening by boat to St. Wolfgang.

Day 4: Cycle tour to Gmunden (about 40 km + train ride)
Train to Gmunden on Lake Traunsee; cycle back along the shore via Ebensee to Bad Goisern.

Day 5: Hiking day or day of rest
Rest day or hiking around lake Gosausee with views of the Dachstein.

Day 6: Salzburg experience (without bike)
Train to Salzburg to visit Getreidegasse, Cathedral Square, Mirabell Gardens and Hohensalzburg Fortress.

Day 7: Cycle tour to Grundlsee (approx. 35 km + train ride)
Train to Bad Aussee; cycle to Grundlsee.

Day 8: Departure or additional nights
Departure after breakfast or extend with extra nights.
