Short Description

Pedal through the heart of Flanders, where cobblestone streets, Gothic spires, and centuries of art history unfold at every turn. You will cycle from the cosmopolitan energy of Brussels into the quiet canal-laced charm of Bruges, passing through some of Belgium's most storied cities along the way. You will ride through Mechelen's Renaissance squares, glide along the Scheldt river near Bornem, and arrive in Ghent — a city where medieval towers rise above vibrant student cafés. Each day brings a new landscape: flat polder roads, tree-lined towpaths, and the gentle hum of Flemish life. The journey ends in Bruges, where a final loop to the North Sea coast at De Haan offers wide sandy beaches and Art Deco villas before you return to the UNESCO-listed old town. Seven days, six nights, and a gallery of experiences that stretch from grand European capitals to hidden riverside villages.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Brussels
You will arrive in Brussels and settle into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore the Belgian capital — the Grand Place, the Royal Quarter, and the lively café scene of the Sablon district.

Day 2: Brussels – Mechelen (65 km)
You will leave Brussels heading north along quiet cycle paths. The route leads through the green outskirts of the city and into the Flemish countryside. Your destination is Mechelen, a compact city rich in Burgundian heritage, with the imposing St. Rumbold's Cathedral rising above its central square.

Day 3: Mechelen – Bornem/Puurs (32–38 km)
A shorter stage today. You will ride westward through the gentle landscapes of the Rupel region. The route follows peaceful roads past orchards and small waterways, arriving in the riverside area of Bornem or Puurs — a quiet corner of Flanders where the Scheldt river dominates the scenery.

Day 4: Bornem/Puurs – Ghent (65 km)
You will cycle through the Waasland region toward Ghent. Flat roads and well-signed cycle routes carry you past farms, polders, and the occasional village church spire. Ghent will welcome you with its three towers, the Graslei waterfront, and a vibrant evening atmosphere.

Day 5: Ghent – Bruges (50 km)
You will follow the canal towpath from Ghent to Bruges — one of the most scenic cycling corridors in Belgium. The route is flat and traffic-free for long stretches, winding through green Flemish countryside before the medieval skyline of Bruges appears on the horizon.

Day 6: Bruges – De Haan – Bruges (55 km)
A loop stage. You will ride from Bruges to the Belgian coast at De Haan, an elegant seaside resort with Art Deco architecture and wide sandy beaches. After time at the sea, you will return to Bruges along a different route through the polders.

Day 7: Departure from Bruges
Your tour ends after breakfast. Bruges train station offers connections to Brussels Airport and other Belgian cities.
