Short Description

An inspiring cross-border cycling tour through Alsace and the Rhine Valley, linking Basel, Freiburg, Colmar, and Strasbourg. Discover three cultures, scenic vineyards, and UNESCO heritage towns while enjoying a mix of nature, wine, and architecture.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Basel
Arrival in the trinational Eurodistrict of Basel, a city rich in art, architecture, and vibrant urban life. Accommodation in Saint-Louis or Weil am Rhein.

Day 2: Basel – Müllheim (≈45 km)
Follow the Rhine northwards to Müllheim, visit the Markgräfler Museum or the St. Martin Church with its 14th-century frescoes. Option to detour to Badenweiler's Roman baths.

Day 3: Müllheim – Freiburg (≈35 km)
Pass through Heitersheim and Bad Krozingen before reaching Freiburg, with its cathedral and panoramic Schlossberg views.

Day 4: Freiburg – Colmar (≈60 km)
Via Breisgau-Radweg to Breisach, then cross into France to visit Neuf-Brisach and continue to Colmar, home to the Unterlinden Museum and Little Venice.

Day 5: Colmar – Riquewihr area (≈40 km)
Ride through Eguisheim and Kaysersberg on the Alsace Wine Route, visiting picturesque wine villages and landscapes.

Day 6: Riquewihr – Obernai (≈35–50 km)
Continue through Hunawihr, Ribeauvillé, and Andlau with its Roman abbey before reaching Obernai.

Day 7: Obernai – Strasbourg (≈40–55 km)
Pass Rosheim and Molsheim, then follow the Bruche canal path to Strasbourg, known for its cathedral and historic Grande Île.

Day 8: Departure or extension
End of tour or optional extra night in Strasbourg.
