What is the difficulty level of this tour?
This tour covers 485 km over 8 riding days with a total ascent of 6,023 metres on paved tarmac roads. Daily distances range from 29 to 72 km with significant climbing on several days. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, though full vehicle support is available throughout.
Is an e-bike option available?
Yes, electric bikes are available as a supplement. This can help manage the more demanding climbing days, particularly Day 9 which includes 1,590 metres of ascent.
What type of accommodation is provided?
You will stay in hotels and guesthouses for 9 nights. All breakfasts, are included. On days 4 and 5 at two guesthouses, single occupancy travellers may need to share rooms.
How do I get to the starting point?
The tour starts and ends in Tirana. You should arrange your own flights to Tirana International Airport (Rinas). An airport shuttle service is available but not included in the tour price.
What is the best season for this tour?
The tour operates primarily from April to October. Spring and early autumn offer the most comfortable riding temperatures while avoiding the peak summer heat along the coast.
